A number of Arsenal fans have lauded Mikel Arteta for starting Folarin Balogun against Sunderland in the Carabao Cup.
The 20-year-old is one of the most highly rated players to come through the Hale End ranks in recent years.
In just 13 Premier League 2 and EFL Trophy appearances this season, the 20-year-old has scored a staggering 16 goals.

He has earned plaudits aplenty – Arteta has hailed his “incredible” progress and deemed him “unique“.
Balogun started the season in the first team, but it was a baptism of fire as Arsenal had many player issues back then.
He subsequently dropped back to the Under-23s, but it’s obvious he’s now too good for that.
Balogun won the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for November thanks to his heroics last month.
Per Mertesacker admitted earlier this month that Balogun is likely to go on loan in January.
But now, the striker will get the chance to show off what he can do against the League One outfit.
