Some Arsenal fans were reacting after a report emerged about their chase of Ruben Neves and sale of Granit Xhaka.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, AS Roma are waiting for Arsenal to sign a midfielder before they complete a deal for the Swiss ace. He also claims that the Wolves man is the Gunners’ first choice to replace the 28-year-old.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are close to sealing a midfield signing in the form of Albert Sambi Lokonga. The 21-year-old is currently in London having his medical, according to widespread reports – as per The Metro.

Arsenal need to complete deals soon

The new Premier League season is just over a month away, and Arsenal are yet to sign a player.

It doesn’t bode well for pre-season as it increases the time needed for signings to settle into the club.

However, conducting early business has never been the club’s style. Last summer, it took until the final day of the window to complete a move for Thomas Partey. Meanwhile, a similar situation occurred with David Luiz and Kieran Tierney.

Failing to sell Xhaka could hamper the team morale.
