Livingston did Rangers a favour this afternoon as they halted the Celtic juggernaut. After six wins on the bounce in which the Bhoys scored 25 goals, keeping them at bay was always going to be difficult.
However, Livi were in great form, putting in a resolute, hard-working, defensive display to keep Celtic at bay for 90 minutes.
It helped that Livingston’s goalkeeper was in sensational form. Liam Kelly was named the man of the match for his performance in the game and Livingston fans were very happy with his display.

Of course, Kelly is also a former Rangers player. The 22-year-old joined the Ibrox club at the age of 10. He went on to spend 12 years as a Rangers player but never made the breakthrough to the first-team.
Rangers instead loaned him to Livingston last season. Then, this summer, Steven Gerrard was ready to let him go permanently and Kelly has been in fine form for his new permanent club since.
He pulled off some sensational saves in the game, with a late save from Tom Rogic particularly spectacular.
Rangers will be thankful that Celtic were kept at bay by their former youngster. After a 7-1 win over Motherwell at Ibrox, it means Rangers are now just two points off of Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.
