Leeds United starlet Jack Clarke is joining Tottenham Hotspur in a permanent deal. But according to Phil Hay of The Yorkshire Evening Post, Clarke could return to Leeds on loan for the season.

Interestingly, this news comes amid a report by The Yorkshire Evening Post suggesting Leeds are set for a flurry of loan signings next week. Ben White and Jack Harrison should be announced shortly, while Leeds are working on a deal for Helder Costa.

Clarke returning would make that four loan signings for Leeds in the opening part of the summer transfer window. Tottenham will let Clarke develop by sending him back to Elland Road.

The 18-year-old is a homegrown talent who burst onto the scene last season. Operating on the wing, Clarke scored twice and provided two assists in 25 games for Leeds.

But now he is closing in on a move to Spurs. Mauricio Pochettino rates Clarke highly and believes he can replicate Dele Alli’s success in North London.
