‘So so good’…Declan Rice and Edu Gaspar blown away by one Arsenal player v Burnley yesterday

It was another brilliant performance from Arsenal yesterday as they hammered Burnley to maintain the pressure at the top of the table.

Arsenal once again smashed in the goals to make it 14 scored in just three league games. It was another message sent to both Liverpool and Man City, who know they must keep winning to keep up with Mikel Arteta’s side.

For the Gunners, there were so many positives to take from the game. The defence was once again imperious in keeping the Clarets out, while in attack, Arsenal were simply ruthless with their finishing.

Of course, key to Arsenal being so good in front of goal has been the improved performances of late of £65m signing, Kai Havertz. The German got himself a goal yesterday and after taking to Instagram to celebrate the win, had plenty of love from his Arsenal teammates.

Down in the comments, the likes of Declan Rice and Edu praised Havertz, while there was even a nice comment from Piers Morgan as well.

Kai Havertz is starting to purr at the right time for Arsenal

For all the critics the German has had this season, nobody can deny that he’s upped the performance levels in the last few weeks to show what he’s all about.

Ultimately, Arsenal brought him in for the big moments in the season after what he’d done at Chelsea and you have to say, Havertz is starting to step up.

Mikel Arteta keeps on picking the German and there is obviously a good reason behind him being continually selected in the Arsenal first XI.

Havertz has scored big goals in the past, including a Champions League winner, and he’s showing right now that he is the man for the occasion again.

Arsenal are right in this title fight and don’t look like falling away like last season. Havertz has been crucial for them and if he can continue this fine run, the Gunners won’t be far away.
