‘So poor’: West Ham fans tear into Andriy Yarmolenko

Andriy Yarmolenko completed 70 minutes in the defeat to Brighton on Friday night – and some of the West Ham United fans on Twitter teared into him for his performance.

The Hammers were beaten 1-0 away at Brighton, as a familiar enemy in the shape of Glenn Murray scored the decisive goal with his close-range finish in the 25th minute.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side will be disappointed going into the international break on the back of a loss and have just seven points from their opening eight Premier League games.

The East London club went into Friday night’s clash on the back of four games across all competitions without a defeat, but they have now lost their last four consecutive matches against Brighton

It wasn’t quite West Ham’s night at Brighton and that was summed up by a late miss from Marko Arnautovic in injury time that would’ve earned a point.

Yarmolenko was another attacker that wasn’t quite at the races, as he struggled to make a serious impact in front of goal.

The 28-year-old has scored twice already this season and has settled well at the London Stadium, but is still trying to find some consistency to his displays.

A selection of West Ham fans on social media singled out the Ukraine international for his performance against Brighton and feel he was well below par.
