Leeds fans have taken to social media to praise 21-year-old defender Pascal Struijk for breaking a unique record at the club following his second-half appearance against Manchester City last Saturday.
The Belgium-born defender is the first Leeds centre-back to play over 20 league games for the club since Tom Lees in the 2011/12 Championship season, when the now current Sheffield United man made an impressive 45 appearances for the Yorkshire club when he was just 21-years-old.

Struijk was signed by Leeds in 2018 from Ajax and has since developed into a defender that has regularly been called upon by Marcelo Bielsa this season, with the former Holland youth international scoring his first-ever senior goal this campaign for the Whites in a 4-2 loss away to Arsenal.
And Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to praise Struijk for his impact on the first-team this season, with many supporters delighted as to how the youngster has developed in the Premier League this campaign.
Here’s what some Leeds fans had to say about Struijk on Twitter…
Struijk is likely to be involved in Monday night’s clash against Liverpool following Liam Cooper’s red card against Manchester City, the event that caused the 21-year-old defender to break Lees’ record.
