‘So good’, ‘We need to extend’: Some fans react to 27y/o Spurs target’s Champions League display for them

A number of Bayern Munich fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Corentin Tolisso after the Tottenham Hotspur target’s display in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Tolisso made his first start of the season in the competition. He had an injury earlier in the campaign and was then an unused substitute in the win over Benfica.

But the Frenchman went on to help the Bavarian giants make it five wins from five in their group as they beat Dynamo Kyiv 2-1. It was Tolisso who provided the assist for the decisive second goal, setting up Kingsley Coman.

It does appear that his performance came as a surprise to many of the Bayern fans on social media. He had previously been on the periphery of Julian Nagelsmann’s squad.

Unfortunately, Tolisso has not had the easiest time at the Allianz Arena. And it has got to the stage where his contract with Bayern is set to expire at the end of the campaign.

He has recently been linked with a move to Spurs. And it was reported earlier this month that his agent had been in contact with Tottenham about a potential move.

You can understand why Bayern have previously been open to letting him leave. He has struggled with injury. And he still finds himself down the pecking order.

However, it does appear that he has managed to impress the fans in what was only his third start of the campaign in all competitions.

That may encourage Tottenham as they weigh up a potential move. Tolisso is a player Bayern paid £35 million to sign. So performances like the one he produced on Tuesday may go some way to persuading Fabio Paratici given that he could soon leave on a free.
