Smith Rowe and Tyler Roberts laud Arsenal loanee Joe Willock
Emile Smith Rowe and Tyler Roberts both labelled Joe Willock the GOAT on Instagram following the Arsenal loanee’s latest goal for Newcastle United on Saturday.
Willock continued his incredible run of form for the Magpies on Saturday. The 21-year-old got their last-gasp equaliser as Steve Bruce’s men took a point away from Liverpool.
The goal was all the more satisfying for the Newcastle fans as it came shortly after Callum Wilson saw his goal disallowed after the ball struck his arm just before it went in.
Willock has now scored four times since moving to Newcastle on loan. And remarkably, he has now bagged three times in his last three appearances.
In each of those games, he has come off the bench in the latter stages. He has been on the pitch for just over 45 minutes across those fixtures.
And he has been crucial in ensuring that the Magpies have put themselves on the cusp of staying up.
He got equalisers against both Spurs and Liverpool, as well as a late winner against West Ham. Without his goals, Newcastle would be four points worse off.
So it is little surprise that a number of Premier League players have lauded Willock in response to his latest Instagram post.
Leeds forward Roberts joined Willock’s Arsenal teammate Smith Rowe is labelling him the GOAT. Meanwhile, a number of fellow Gunners youngsters also replied…
