Celtic fans had a chance to watch new signing Boli Bolingoli in action at Parkhead for the first time last night. In the first qualifying round of the Champions League, Celtic progressed as they secured a 2-1 win on the night and a 5-2 win on aggregate against FK Sarajevo.
This sets up a second-round tie against Nomme Kalju – an Estonian side. Bolongoli will be hoping to keep his place in the side when the next round happens.
The 24-year-old had a mixed home debut after limping off in his full debut in Sarajevo. At Celtic Park, Bolingoli produced a mixture of sublime football and sloppy play.

This had Celtic fans confused. At some points in the game, it looked like Bolongoli would be the ideal replacement for Arsenal target Kieran Tierney, if he leaves.
At other points, such as for Sarajevo’s goal, Celtic fans were worried. The Belgian full-back might need to sharpen up his defensive work if he wants to keep the left-back spot on a permanent basis.
Here are some fans reacting to Bolingoli’s home debut. There was some mixed reaction.
