Arsenal have lost one of their most talented young players as Chido Obi-Martin has decided to leave the Gunners.
The striker was seen as one of the hottest prospects in Hale End, and according to Fabrizio Romano, the attacker is now set to join Manchester United.
Obi-Martin is set to head to Old Trafford, and Arsenal fans may be wondering why the Gunners have let such a promising teenager leave the club.
Interestingly, Sky Sports have now given an explanation as to why Obi-Martin is leaving Arsenal.
Why Chido Obi-Martin is leaving Arsenal
Sky Sports shared some insight into why Obi-Martin is leaving the Gunners.
Interestingly, Sky claim that the striker isn’t leaving Arsenal due to the financial package on offer at Arsenal.
The report actually states that Obi-Martin had initially agreed a contract with Arsenal, but the player wanted to move on because he feels his first-team opportunities and the club’s project don’t quite suit him.

Manchester United move makes little sense
Obi-Martin is leaving Arsenal in search of a project that suits him and a pathway to first-team football.
So, with that in mind, you have to question why he’s deciding to join Manchester United.
United already have two fantastic young strikers in the shape of Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, and if all goes to plan, those two will be spearheading the attack for the best part of the next decade.
Obi-Martin also wanted a project he could believe in, but Manchester United have been on a downward trajectory for a long time now, slumping to an eighth-placed finish in the Premier League last term, while Arsenal appear to be building something special.
Obi-Martin may believe that Old Trafford is a better place for him to grow and develop, but given his first-team pathway and the project on offer in Manchester, it’s hard not to think the striker has mis-calculated this one.
