'It's no secret': Sky Germany reporter has just given update about Harry Kane to Bayern live on air
Sky Sports Germany reporter Uli Koehler has been giving his thoughts on the speculation surrounding Harry Kane and a move to Bayern Munich.
Reports emerged over the weekend to suggest Bayern were keen on landing the Tottenham superstar. Of course, there is little to zero chance of Spurs selling this summer, with Kane a key cog in the system under Antonio Conte.
However, speaking live on Sky Sports News this afternoon, Sky Germany’s Koehler has hinted that while a move for Kane this summer is unlikely, it’s one to keep an eye on for next year given Kane’s contract.
“It’s no secret that Bayern needs a forward. The problem is is the money. Bayern does not have the money to get close to Harry Kane, whatever the club wants and whatever he wants. The club had a great summer and there is no money left”, Koehler said.
“But this is something for the future, maybe next year, because they know the contract of Harry Kane is not prolonged anymore. He will run out, so Bayern is interested in it. What Conte says, he has to say that. Nagelsmann just said he is a good player and Bayern is interested in any good player.”
TBR’s View: Kane Surely Doesn’t Leave Tottenham With Conte In Charge
If Conte is at Tottenham and doing well, then there looks to be no way Harry Kane leaves the club. There just doesn’t seem to be much point in moving on, especially given he stayed last summer when City pushed for him.
Of course, Kane might fancy the chance at winning some trophies. But would winning easily in Germany mean more than winning one with Tottenham? Probably not.
Bayern might like Kane but it will take a lot for them to land him.
