Sky Sports pundit Tony Cottee believes that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is likely to leave Spurs – but not until next summer.
The 26-year-old has been sensational for Tottenham and England over the past few years, coming through the Spurs ranks and becoming an indispensable player for club and country.
To date, Kane has registered 181 goals and 30 assists for Tottenham, as well as 32 goals from 45 England caps.

However, despite his heroics for Spurs, he is yet to lift a major trophy with the North London club.
Kane warned Tottenham last month that he wouldn’t remain at the club “for the sake of it”, and suggested he was willing to leave if he felt Spurs weren’t progressing.
Cottee believes that it’s “inevitable” for the Three Lions captain to leave Spurs if they don’t taste Premier League or Champions League glory next season.
However, he also thinks Kane is worth £200million “all day long”.
Cottee told Sky Sports News: “I think there will come a time when he says ‘I’ve done as much as I can, I’ve scored lots of goals for Spurs but for many, many reasons it’s not happened.
“Everything is in place there. They’ve got a great stadium, great club, great fans etc. but they haven’t won anything.
“That’s what Harry will want to taste before he finishes his career. You want that feeling of winning the Premier League or Champions League and at the moment I can’t see him doing that at Spurs.
“I think it’s inevitable, if it doesn’t happen in the next year or so, I think Harry will leave – probably next summer.”
TBR View:
For a player of Kane’s calibre to not have a single major trophy to his name at 26 years old is concerning.
Football careers aren’t particularly long, and strikers tend to peak around their mid to late twenties, so Kane will surely have some thinking to do this summer.
Likewise, if Spurs want to hang on to Kane, they need to do their bit and convince him that they’re serious about silverware – and strengthen their ranks accordingly.
