'The concern would be': Sky Sports pundit predicts exactly how and when Arsenal will crumble this season

Arsenal go into the World Cup break top of the league and Sky Sports pundit Stephen Warnock has been discussing their title chances.

The Gunners saw off Wolves with relative ease at the weekend to go five points clear of Man City at the top of the table. Two goals from Martin Odegaard ensured Mikel Arteta’s side maintained their fine start to the season.

Of course, it seems every other day we are questioning Arsenal’s title credentials. Gary Neville still believes City will win the whole thing, albeit he is impressed.

And speaking on Sky Sports just now, Stephen Warnock has said the crunch test will come later in the season for Arsenal’s young squad.

“This is the youngest squad in the league who are top of the Premier League. They’re playing without fear. The concern would be, when it comes to a pressure situation and they’re really in the run-in for the league, will they still have that belief within themselves, that fearlessness to go on and win the league? But they’re certainly in the race,” Warnock said.

Arsenal are still to actually face City. Their fixture in October was postponed, with the second clash penned in for April.

Both fixtures could be crucial and given how things are going in terms of planning, both could be played in quick succession.

TBR’s View: Arsenal just need to keep on winning

For all the outside noise, Arsenal’s sole focus will surely just be on keeping on winning games. If they do that, then it doesn’t matter what Man City do.

Of course, it’s a long season and twists and turns will come along the way. However, the Gunners can do little more than they have already to position themselves in the table.

Those two games with City could be absolutely crucial. If Arsenal do win the first one and remain top, then that belief will really start to kick in.
