‘The only one’: Sky Sports man says he felt so sorry for one Tottenham player v Bournemouth today

Tottenham managed to fight back against Bournemouth today as they produced a superb second half display at The Vitality Stadium.

In a remarkable second half, Spurs produced the sort of relentless attacking display their fans have been calling for in recent weeks. Goals from Ryan Sessegnon, Ben Davies, and Rodrigo Bentancur ensured that Tottenham picked up what will feel like a massive three points.

However, it wasn’t all plain sailing for Spurs. At 2-0 down in the first half and lacking any spark, Sky Sports pundit Clinton Morrison spoke of a lack of creativity for Spurs. And at the same time, he said he felt sorry for Harry Kane, who Morrison felt was the only one trying.

“Harry Kane is. Kane is trying. He’s the only one. You have to feel a bit sorry for him. Skipp is trying to make some runs in behind but they’re just not creating enough,” Morrison said on Sky Sports.

Despite not getting on the scoresheet, Kane was vital for Spurs in that second 45 minutes. He was the focal point of the team and help hurry Bournemouth into mistakes.

Certainly, after a wretched first-half, Kane will feel like his own performance deserved something.

This looked to be heading towards a nightmare for Spurs but in the end, they did what all good teams do.

Kane was instrumental and while he’ll be disappointed not to have got on the scoresheet, he will be delighted his side won in such dramatic fashion.

If anything, this underlined Spurs as a team who won’t go away this season. While for Kane, it just showed yet again how important he is to Conte.
