A Sky Sports journalist has just issued an update on RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo after being linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Dani Olmo enjoyed a stellar Euro 2024 and was the joint top goalscorer after netting four goals for tournament winners Spain.
Such form has alerted a number of clubs around the continent after it emerged he had a £50m release clause in his RB Leipzig contract.
Tottenham are one of the clubs thought to be considering Olmo and now a Sky journalist has shared the latest update on his situation.

Dani Olmo close to joining Barcelona
After being made aware of Dani Olmo’s release clause, it looks as though Tottenham never followed up on their initial interest.
Now, Barcelona are working to finalise the deal, according to Florian Plettenberg, who notes that a verbal agreement has been reached.
Olmo is Barca’s top target, so a late hijack from Tottenham or any other club for that matter now seems unlikely.
Tottenham should focus on Eberechi Eze
After missing out on Olmo, Tottenham should now place their full focus on Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze.
TBR reported earlier this week that Eze is much more likely to join Spurs than Manchester City, who seem to have cooled their interest.
The England international is believed to have a £60m release clause in his contract.
Wolves’ Pedro Neto is also under consideration, though, his signature is expected to cost north of that figure given he doesn’t have a clause.
Neto also operates as a wide player, so the want for a creative midfielder would remain if he were to join this summer.
In other news, ‘special’ £40m midfielder Tottenham want to sign has just agreed to join European club.
