Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Oliver Skipp and Everton counterpart Tom Davies could help England Under-21s go “all the way” in the U21 European Championships, according to Sky Sports pundit Andy Hinchcliffe.
The Spurs loanee and the Toffees enforcer have both been named in Aidy Boothroyd’s squad for the group stages of the tournament.
The Young Lions are preparing to face Switzerland, Portugal and Croatia in the group stage, with the knockout stage to be played in May and June.

And with Skipp and Davies both in great form for Norwich and Everton respectively, they’re likely to be starters for England’s U21s.
“Oliver Skipp has been sensational for Norwich this season, next to Tom Davies, which could be a very strong, controlling midfield,” Hinchcliffe told Sky Sports.
“That is what takes you all the way in tournaments, and you rely on your attacking quality to win you games.”
TBR View:
Skipp has been superb for the Canaries this season, a key player in their pursuit of promotion, and given they’re eight points clear at the top of the Championship table, they’re looking good to succeed.
Davies, meanwhile, has improved massively under Carlo Ancelotti and has made 23 appearances in all competitions for the Goodison Park side this season.
England’s U21s have a glut of talent at their disposal and, if all goes well, many of them will get the chance to turn out for Gareth Southgate’s side in the coming 12 months.
