Sky pundit says player Arsenal are reportedly trying to sell is actually 'outstanding'
Kevin Phillips has claimed live on Sky Sports that Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette is actually outstanding.
Lacazette netted the final for Arsenal, as they won 6-0 at the Hawthorns against West Bromwich Albion.
The French striker’s goal was extremely well taken, as he swept him a cross from Nicolas Pepe with a wonderful finish.
And Phillips insisted that Lacazette’s coming back to fitness for Arsenal will be a major boost.
He said: “Getting Lacazette on the pitch, and getting his goal [was a positive].
“Arsenal will always create chances, it’s just whether they can get players in the right positions.
“With Aubameyang and Lacazette coming back, who I think is an outstanding player, you’re always going to get that.”
Phillips praise for Lacazette is sure to mean a lot for the forward.
His future has been questioned this summer, with Arsenal said to be open to selling him.
Open to selling
The Transfer Window podcast has actually claimed that Arsenal have ‘very aggressively’ been marketing Lacazette, as they look to clear him off their books.
The Gunners are yet to find a buyer for the 30-year-old though.
And with Arsenal struggling badly for goals in the Premier League so far, he could well be an important player for Mikel Arteta’s side as the campaign progresses.
