Jonathan Rowe has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur over the past few weeks.
The Norwich City winger is making waves in the Championship right now, and, inevitably, some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League are taking a look at him.
Spurs are said to be very keen, and according to David Prutton, speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk Podcast, David Prutton has suggested that the £20m man should make this move.
Indeed, Prutton says that these sorts of move don’t come around very often, and he says that Rowe would be wise to make a life-changing move to Spurs.

Life-changing move
Prutton spoke about the young attacker.
“Big moves don’t always come along and they’re not always a given. That makes me sound cynical and financially driven, but that’s as a 42-year-old ex-pro who should’ve forced different moves. With the benefit of hindsight if Jonathan Rowe is deemed to be someone Spurs are interested in, that’s a life-changing move,” Prutton said.
Double-edged sword
This is a very tricky situation to manage.
On one hand, Prutton is right, these big moves don’t present themselves very often, and if Rowe can get a move to Spurs now, it could be lifechanging.
However, at the same time, a premature move to a big six club can set a young player back years.
Look at someone like Jack Clarke, his move to Spurs was nothing short of a disaster, and while he’s got back on track at Sunderland, he could’ve been playing regular Premier League football right now if he’d made the right move at the right time.
Rowe will have plenty of suitors in the coming weeks and months, and he has to make sure he has the right people around him advising him on his next move.
