Sky pundit claims Wolves player puts a smile on his face
Don Goodman has claimed that Wolverhampton Wanderers star Pedro Neto is a player that puts a smile on his face whenever he watches him play.
Neto has emerged as a real talisman this season at Molineux, especially in the way he stepped up during Raul Jimenez’s long-term injury absence.
Neto, 21, missed the back end of the campaign himself through injury.
However, the Portuguese winger was a standout individual beforehand.
He finished the league season with five goals and five assists, which is a really strong return for a side that struggled to score loads throughout the year.
The left-footed forward can play anywhere across the attacking positions, particular on the left flank where he ghosts past full-backs with his pace and trickery.
Sky Sports pundit Goodman gave Neto an honourable mention when selecting his Premier League Team of the Season for the 2020/21 campaign.
“Pedro Neto at Wolves puts a smile on my face,” Goodman told Sky Sports.
Wolves fans have known they’ve got a special talent on their books in Neto since he joined back in 2019 from Braga.
He’s no longer an under the radar talent in English football though due to his performances, which should be a slight concern that potential suitors may be watching him.
The attacking talent has so much potential to develop into whatever he wants in the next few years, but next season he should continue shining in a Wolves kit before a step up further down the line.
