Arsenal managed to get over the line in their Champions League encounter with Sevilla on Tuesday night.

Gabriel Jesus played a big part for the Gunners as he played a part in both goals for Mikel Arteta’s charges in the 2-1 victory.

However, there was an injury scare for the Arsenal striker, leading to him having to make way in the 81st minute.

Jesus went down in the 80th minute with what appeared to be a hamstring issue. He managed to limp off, however, suggesting it wasn’t overly serious.

Sky Sports reporters covering the game shared what they saw from the 26-year-old Arsenal ace as he came off.

“Jesus did not look happy there and (Eddie) Nketiah’s introduction was very swift,” he said, as per the Sky Sports website.

“The Brazilian striker has been influential tonight and it would be a shame for Arsenal if he suffered a setback here…”

Meanwhile, Gail Davis noted how exhausted Jesus looked as he came off to a positive reaction from Arteta.

“Nketiah and Trossard are on,” she said. “Jesus looked absolutely exhausted as he came off to a huge Arteta hug.

“Great goal and great all round performance from him and Saka gets the last 10 or so minutes off too.”

Gabriel Jesus helps Arsenal to much-needed Champions League away win

Jesus played a huge part in a much-needed victory for Arsenal in the Champions League.

After the Gunners fell to a shock defeat at Lens, the pressure was on for them to get their first Champions League away win of the decade on board.

Jesus duly delivered, his stunning turn and assist sending Gabriel Martinelli on his way to a debut Champions League goal.

The former Manchester City man then weighed in with a superb curling finish to put Arsenal two goals to the good.

Although Sevilla struck back through Nemanja Gudelj, the Gunners managed to hold on for all three points.
