Skov can be the goalscoring winger Wolves are currently lacking

Wolverhampton Wanderers are one side credited with an interest in rising winger Robert Skov, as reported by Sky Sports.

The Copenhagen attacker is hot property after plundering 23 goals in just 31 games for the Danish outfit this term.

His scintillating form has drawn the attention of the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Watford.

Skov is a strong runner and mazy dribbler, who likes to operate from the right wing and cut inside as a natural left-footer.

He is also a good free-kick taker, making him even more desirable.

It will be interesting to see if any of the mentioned Premier League sides win the race for Skov this summer, but Wolves could certainly do with someone like him.

Goals from out wide

Currently Wolves have a crop of wingers who arguably don’t contribute enough goals to the team.

Diogo Jota is the exception, although the Portuguese is playing in a central role alongside Raul Jimenez in attack, but Ivan Cavaleiro, Helder Costa and Adam Traore haveall left a lot to be desired in front of goal this term.

The trio have scored just eight goals between them across all competitions so far, and have not really eased the burden on Jimenez.

Fortunately for Wolves their shortcomings haven’t really mattered given the Mexican’s reliability and the contributions of the wing-backs (particularly Matt Doherty).

But 2019/2020 could bring about a tougher challenge for the Black Country club, and they will need a winger who knows where the goal is – Skov is already proving he can be that coveted goalscoring winger.
