Moussa Sissoko reckons his Tottenham Hotspur teammate Tanguy Ndombele should take inspiration from N’Golo Kante in order to improve.

Spurs’ club-record signing has made a decent start to life in north London, and is a popular figure with the fans.

Arguably, the talented former Lyon man still has a few gears to go up, which will surely come when he gets a prolonged run in the starting XI.

In the eyes of Sissoko, who refers to Ndombele as his ‘little brother’, the 22-year-old needs to try and follow the example of two-time Premier League and World Cup winner Kante, who faces Spurs this weekend for Chelsea in the Premier League.

He told the Evening Standard: “They’re playing in the same position and you have to learn from one of the best players in the world.

“We know the quality of Kante and Tanguy has a lot of quality, too. But he’s still young, he still needs to improve. He will learn a lot. He can be inspired by a player like Kante. It depends on him but he’s trying his best in training every day and he gets better and better every day.”

TBR’s view – Kante the perfect role model

The 28-year-old has been a breath of fresh air since he came to English football in 2015, and has developed into a world-class central midfielder who is adored not only by Chelsea fans, but neutrals as well.

Kante is definitely the all-action kind of midfielder Ndombele should be looking to emulate for Spurs, and he absolutely has the potential to become just as influential.
