Arsenal star Kieran Tierney has been described by Sir Alex Ferguson as “absolutely fantastic” as the legendary manager looked ahead to Scotland’s Euro 2020 chances.
The 23-year-old has been sensational for the Gunners all season, one of the most consistent and reliable players in Mikel Arteta’s ranks.
Likewise, Tierney has been in great form for Scotland, helping his nation reach the Euro 2020 finals and make an unbeaten start to World Cup qualifying.

The former Celtic ace suffered a knee injury against Liverpool at the start of the month, and there were fears he’d be out for the rest of the season.
Arsenal have since confirmed that Tierney is hoping to be back in training within two to three weeks as he continues to make positive progress in his rehabilitation.
Meanwhile, Scotland have been drawn in a tough group which also includes the likes of World Cup finalists Croatia, the Czech Republic and England.
However, Ferguson believes that with players like Tierney, Andrew Robertson and Scott McTominay, Steve Clarke’s side can be “as good as anyone”.
“They have been playing quite well. I think it’s the old story, the scoring of goals,” Ferguson is quoted by Metro as saying.
“Their performance level has been very good, I have been impressed.
“I look at the midfield players and I think they are as good as anyone, players playing in England. And Tierney has been fantastic at Arsenal, absolutely fantastic.”
TBR View:
Tierney has been one of Arsenal’s best and most consistent players, shining amid a sea of mediocrity earlier this season and looking more inspired than ever prior to his injury.
His absence is being felt, but hopefully he’ll be back up and running soon, help Arsenal end the season on a high and then impress with Scotland at the Euro finals.
