Simon Jordan suggests how much Tottenham would have to pay to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace now

Crystal Palace’s squad has been picked apart this summer and interest remains in Eberechi Eze in the final days of the transfer window.

There are high hopes for Oliver Glasner’s side this season after he led the Eagles to a top-10 finish last season.

Crystal Palace ended the campaign as one of the most in-form teams in the country with 13 points taken from their final five games.

But over the summer they have lost some pivotal players with Michael Olise joining Bayern Munich in a £50million deal.

They have now agreed to sell Joachim Andersen to Fulham in a £30million deal, while Newcastle United continue to push for Marc Guehi after having four bids rejected.

Simon Jordan names new Eberechi Eze price

With Guehi and Andersen also on their way out of Selhurst Park, Eberechi Eze, who was hailed as “incredible“, is the last star standing at Palace.

But even his future is still uncertain with Tottenham interested in signing Eze this summer as they look to add firepower to Ange Postecoglou’s squad.

Eze had a £60million release clause in his contract but that has now expired and Palace are free to dictate their own price.

Speaking via talkSPORT, Simon Jordan believes clubs will now have to cough up £80million for the England international.

“Anyone wants to buy Eze, they will have to pay some serious, serious dough,” Jordan said.

When asked by Jim White how much Palace could charge, Jordan replied: “£80million. Why would Palace sell him?

“They’ve got £140million coming in on players. A lot of that is probably structured so it is up-front money. So why would they need to sell Eze as well?

“Someone is going to have to pay big bucks to get Eze.”

Crystal Palace must keep hold of Eberechi Eze

Palace have already got huge holes to fill in the final days of the transfer window.

New centre-backs are needed urgently if both Andersen and Guehi leave, and Eze’s departure would add more stress for their transfer department.

Even if a big-money offer arrives from Tottenham for Eze this month, Palace should do everything possible to keep hold of their biggest star.
