Simon Jordan has offered his take on Tottenham’s title chances on TalkSPORT today and believes there’s no chance for Antonio Conte’s side.
Tottenham have started the season really well and remain unbeaten. They are right in the mix with Manchester City and rivals Arsenal as things stand. Of course, Spurs face the Gunners this coming weekend in a huge clash for both clubs.

However, while some believe Spurs might end up challenging for the title under Conte, TalkSPORT’s Jordan believes that is very much a pipe dream and unrealistic ask as things stand.
“No (they can’t win the league). No (they can’t contend to win the league),” Jordan said.
“Because they’re not good enough. If Liverpool get their boots on they won’t be good enough to contend with them, and Liverpool aren’t good enough to contend with Man City. So Tottenham and Arsenal will be down the pecking order. It’s a case of being realistic. There’s no point building a narrative. I do expect Tottenham to win something with Conte. It won’t be a league of a Champions League, but I think it might be a League Cup or an FA Cup.”
TBR’s View: Tottenham Can Succeed With Conte
Jordan is about spot on here in fairness to him. There is no chance Tottenham win the league if Manchester City perform to their best, so a cup is the most likely outcome here.
You do never know in football, of course. However, if Spurs do win a cup then most fans will take that and winning silverware would be a big breakthrough for Conte as well.
Jordan’s comments on Liverpool make sense, too. If Spurs cannot usurp the Reds, then they’ve simply no chance of overhauling City either.
