Simon Jordan reckons Crystal Palace ace Wilfried Zaha could end up at Tottenham

Simon Jordan has told TalkSPORT that he can see Crystal Palace superstar Wilfried Zaha moving to Tottenham Hotspur this summer – after Roy Hodgson confirmed the player is looking to leave Selhurst Park.

Zaha, 27, has endured a difficult end to the current campaign along with Roy Hodgson’s Palace – picking up just one point from a possible 24. This season, the Ivory Coast international has scored just four goals.

It is clear that the ex-Manchester United man is keen to leave Palace for a second time – after a previous failed spell at Old Trafford. Numerous clubs have been linked, with The Sun reporting United and Arsenal are keen.

The Times reckon Palace could let him go for just £40million, and ex-Palace owner Jordan reckons Zaha could be on his way to Tottenham in the coming months – and reckons he is of the price that Daniel Levy is willing to spend.

“I don’t think Wilf has covered himself in glory this season,” Jordan said. “He’s a tremendous player. He’s an incredible talent, but it is difficult for him to play in that side under Roy. A lot of onus is put on him.

“He is on £130,000 a week which in Palace’s terms, is very expensive. He wants to go. I could see him going to Tottenham. He is in the price category that Daniel [Levy] might be willing to spend.”

TBR’s view – Zaha would be a stunning Tottenham addition

With Jose Mourinho’s side looking to be solid without the ball and explosive on the counter, Zaha would be an ideal addition to the north London club. Spurs need a goalscoring winger and Zaha is that man.

Spurs qualified for Europa League football and with Europe on offer, Zaha would surely be tempted by remaining in London. Jordan is right, all parties would surely benefit from a move to Spurs.
