Simon Grayson has told BBC Radio Leeds that Marcelo Bielsa will be disappointed with Leeds United’s 1-0 win over Derby County, as the ex-Whites boss believes his old side should have won by more.
Leeds earned a narrow advantage away from home on Saturday evening thanks to Kemar Roofe’s second-half strike. Jack Harrison made the goal, after some good interplay before an excellent early cross.
The Whites did have to hold on towards the end, but had golden chances through Roofe immediately after his goal and Pablo Hernandez, but neither were able to capitalise.
Former Leeds boss Grayson, who won promotion back to the Championship, reckons Bielsa will be disappointed that Leeds did not double their advantage ahead of the second leg on Wednesday.

“I thought it was a really professional performance,” Grayson said. “If anything, I think Marcelo Bielsa will be a little bit disappointed that Leeds did not punish Derby more with a second or even a third goal.
“Shackleton got down the right-hand side and the won person you want it to fall to is Pablo Hernandez, but he completely miscues his shot. If Leeds had won 2-0 or 3-0, then they would have been delighted.
“If you had asked me if we would have taken a 1-0 win, I would have settled for that.”
TBR’s view
Grayson is bang on, but as he also states, most Leeds fans would have taken any kind of victory away from home before having to welcome Derby to Elland Road on Wednesday.
Leeds have a huge psychological advantage over the Rams now, with three wins in three against Frank Lampard’s men this season. It is now 7-1 on aggregate.
All eyes are on Wednesday but a defeat will see Leeds fans agreeing with Grayson, that the Whites should have scored more than just one when they had the chance.
