Everton manager Marco Silva wants to sign Abdoulaye Doucoure from Watford.
As reported by The Mirror, the Portuguese tactician is ready to raid his former club for the dynamic Frenchman, who has caught the eye once again this season for the Hornets.
Doucoure stood out in 2017/18 after putting in a number of impressive all-action displays in midfield.

He scored seven goals and made four assists that season, and has already notched four assists in this.
It’s clear Doucoure is one of Watford’s best players and clearly Silva knows him well.
He would be a great signing for Everton – especially if it transpires they won’t be able to sign Andre Gomes permanently.
But can Everton fans be able to look beyond something he said earlier this year?
Doucoure’s love for Liverpool is on record
Following speculation linking him with a move to Anfield earlier this year, Doucoure had some complimentary words for the 18-time English champions.
He told French radio station Canal+ in March, as quoted by The Metro: “Liverpool is a club that needs no introduction.

“I was impatient to play there at Anfield, I wanted to feel the atmosphere. For me it would be a dream to play for a club like this.”
Following that, Doucoure also made known his desire to play Champions League football.
Can Everton fans look beyond that?
The Everton-Liverpool rivalry remains as fierce as ever.
That said, surely most Toffees supporters would be open to seeing Doucoure join their club.

However, his comments are on record and if he did end up joining and playing poorly they could be used against him.
The Mirror’s report hints it would take more than the £40 million it took to prise Richarlison from Vicarage Road in order to sign Doucoure.
