Everton have reportedly initiated talks with Manchester United in an attempt to sign their defender Marcos Rojo in January.
According to Metro, the Toffees have made contact about the 28-year-old enforcer and could face competition from Wolves for his signature.
The report details Manchester United are prepared to offload the centre-back and will let him leave Old Trafford for around £18million.
Everton do have some decent options in the heart of defence already, but Rojo could be a shrewd bit of business for manager Marco Silva if he brings him to Goodison Park.
The Merseyside club have Michael Keane and Yerry Mina as two quality centre-back options, while they also have impressive loanee Kurt Zouma and veteran Phil Jagielka.

Rojo would bring an extra dimension to the backline considering he is a left-footed centre-back and can also slot in at full-back if needed.
The Argentina international has shown for his country he can be a solid defender and has a decent range of passing too.
He is a no-nonsense defender that could improve under the tutelage of Silva and this January seems like a good time to push the restart button with a move away from Manchester United.
Rojo has had a mixed spell at Old Trafford, but could turn out to be a potential bargain for £18million if he recaptures his best form at Everton and has had a taste of English football now.
