‘Signing of the season’, ‘ridiculously good’: Some West Brom fans in awe of 26-year-old’s display today

A number of West Bromwich Albion fans have taken to Twitter to praise Okay Yokuslu’s latest performance for the Baggies.

The Turkey international joined West Brom on loan from Celta Vigo at the start of February and has made four appearances to date for Sam Allardyce’s side.

Despite not having spent much time at The Hawthorns, Yokuslu has very much hit the ground running and is already becoming a fan favourite.

In his three starts for West Brom, the team has remained unbeaten, following up their draws against Manchester United and Burnley with Saturday’s victory over Brighton.

Kyle Bartley netted the winner for the hosts in the 11th minute, drifting away from his marker to head home Conor Gallagher’s delivery.

West Brom triumphed over the Seagulls in a strange game which saw the visitors find the back of the net, only for the goal to be disallowed, re-allowed, and disallowed once again.

Brighton also missed two penalties over the course of the match, and the Baggies defended stoutly, with Yokuslu once again playing a big part in his side’s result.

Although the 26-year-old conceded a penalty, it didn’t matter in the end, and he was otherwise superb as he broke up play, protected the Albion back line and weighed in with crunching tackles.
