Signing Cameron Carter-Vickers on a permanent deal has become one of Celtic manager’s Ange Postecoglou ‘top priorities’, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.
The 24-year-old joined the Scottish giants on a season-long loan from Spurs on deadline day of last summer’s transfer window.
The American has become a key part of the Postecoglou’s Hoops side and he has made 40 appearances across all competitions.
According to the Daily Record, the Parkhead side are edging closer to agreeing a permanent deal worth up to £10million for Carter-Vickers.

The eight-time United States international has only tasted defeat once domestically and he recently scored the crucial winner in the Old Firm derby against fierce rivals Rangers.
After six loan spells in the Championship, Carter-Vickers, who hasn’t yet made his Premier League debut, looks to be enjoying the best spell of his career.
His performances at the back have been crucial in Celtic potentially getting their hands back on the Scottish Premiership crown.

With the lure of Champions League football next season, Postecoglou hopes qualifying for Europe’s best club competition will tempt the 24-year-old to remain at the club.
After winning his first trophy of his career via the Scottish League Cup, Carter-Vickers is thriving north of the border.
However, The Scotsman report that Wolves, Burnley and Leicester City are interested in signing Carter-Vickers from his parent club Tottenham in the summer.

With Celtic potentially having to stave off competition from Premier League clubs, O’Rourke believes Celtic are desperate to get the deal done.
O’Rourke told GiveMeSport: “I’m sure Celtic will be hoping to tie this deal up as soon as possible.
“They’ll want it done before Premier League clubs could maybe come in and offer more money for Carter-Vickers.
“I think it will be one of Postecoglou’s top priorities to get this deal done.”
