Tottenham Hotspur have struck gold multiple times in the transfer market over the past few years.

The likes of Destiny Udogie, Pape Matar Sarr and Guglielmo Vicario have all done superbly for Spurs after being bought for relatively low fees.

Dejan Kulusevski is one of those that has done especially well at Tottenham, following his switch from Juventus back in 2022.

The 23-year-old was somewhat surplus to requirements at Juve, and so they were happy to negotiate a deal with Spurs.

It didn’t take long for Kulusevski’s stock to rise again when at Tottenham. In his first start for Spurs, he scored and assisted in a dramatic 3-2 win at Manchester City.

In his first season, the Sweden international managed an impressive five goals and eight assists in 18 Premier League matches for Tottenham.

Dejan Kulusevski is Ange Postecoglou’s ‘ideal winger’ at Tottenham

Although Kulusevski struggled the following season (he wasn’t the only one), Spurs still took up the option to sign him permanently for a reported £25million.

Things are now better for him and for Spurs under Ange Postecoglou, for whom he is a regular starter. He has 26 appearances, six goals and two assists under his belt this term.

“Kulusevski’s work on and off the ball make him Postecoglou’s ideal winger,” wrote The Guardian in December.

Indeed, the CIES Football Observatory recently gave the Spurs star a valuation of €100.4million, or around £86million.

This currently puts Kulusevski above the likes of Rasmus Hojlund, Harry Kane and Bruno Fernandes, according to the stats outlet.

It’s good to see Kulusevski thriving at Tottenham, and it’ll be exciting to see what the future brings for the ‘top player‘ at N17.
