Wolverhampton Wanderers were just moments away from recording a famous victory against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge but they can still be proud of their efforts.

Nuno Espirito Santo had masterminded the near-perfect away performance, keeping things tight and hitting Chelsea on the break.

Raul Jimenez scored the goal, albeit via a deflection, to send Wolves on their way to a 1-0 win but Eden Hazard’s late striker levelled proceedings.

Wolves fans have been thoroughly impressed with Jimenez all season and are urging the club to make sure his loan deal becomes permanent.

The Mexico international joined last summer, agreeing a season-long loan switch from Portuguese side Benfica.

And with 14 goals and six assists this season, it is no surprise that Wolves fans are desperate to see him complete a permanent move to Molineux.

The 27-year-old netted his 12th Premier League goal of the campaign in his 30th outing on Sunday, finishing off a smart counter-attacking move.

Jimenez linked up well with Diogo Jota and went through on goal before his deflected shot rolled over the goalkeeper and into the net.
