A number of Spurs fans have urged Fabio Paratici to sign Sardar Azmoun next year.
Tottenham were one of several clubs who made a move for the Zenit striker in the summer.
This is according to the player himself, in conversation with Persian Soccer (via Bulinews).

As well as Spurs, the likes of Lyon, Bayer Leverkusen and Roma also wanted Azmoun.
However, the Iran international says his club didn’t entertain any offers for him.
However, it’s worth remembering that the 26-year-old’s contract expires next summer.
And Azmoun appeared to hint that he’d be going down the free transfer route.
“I have a contract,” he said. “Even if I wanted to leave, Zenit can prevent me, and there is nothing I can do.
“I had offers from Tottenham, Lyon, Bayer Leverkusen and Roma but they rejected them.
“If I leave, it will be this (coming) summer as a free agent.”

Azmoun is a top striker who’s very much a cut above both at Zenit and in the Iran national team.
This season alone, he has six goals and one assist from seven competitive club games.
And since moving to Zenit in 2019, he has registered an amazing 58 goals and 20 assists from just 90 matches.
Azmoun has also done superbly for his country – 34 goals from 52 caps.
For such a player to potentially be available on a free next summer – or for a bargain price in January – is exciting.
And some Spurs fans really want Paratici and Daniel Levy to make a move for him when 2022 arrives:
