Rangers currently have Alfredo Morelos and Kyle Lafferty as their main two striker options, while Umar Sadiq has been on the fringes since his arrival on loan in the summer.
The Light Blues have a busy fixture list due to domestic and European competitions, which is why manager Steven Gerrard could do with an extra option in the final third.
They will have to wait a few months more until the January transfer window comes around, but free agent Lacina Traore represents an extremely interesting option to consider exploring.
Traore is a 6ft 8in colossus that is currently without a club after seeing his four-year spell with French giants Monaco come to an end in the summer.
The 28-year-old centre-forward spent most of his time out on loan, but has a wealth of experience at the top level and could be worth the punt for Rangers.

Traore has 13 international caps for Ivory Coast under his belt, while he’s also played for high-profile clubs such as Monaco, CSKA Moscow and Everton.
His enormous size could be a brilliant back-up option for Gerrard to have up his sleeve and it’s extremely clear that another centre-forward option in the squad would be a major boost.
The Gers should consider looking into his potential signing, as it would be a fairly risk-free deal that could bring great reward.
