Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has some selection dilemmas coming up.
After Monday night’s Premier League game against Man City, Spurs face West Ham next in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.
And that will be swiftly followed by a Saturday clash at Wolves in the Premier League and then a crucial Champions League game against PSV next Tuesday.
Pochettino knows that rotation will be key to getting through this hectic phase.
So could this be the time to give Georges-Kevin N’Koudou his first taste of competitive action this season?
Since returning from his unsuccessful loan stint at Burnley, N’Koudou has failed to break back into the Spurs team.
The 23-year-old is running out of time to save his career in England. Things have not gone quite as he would have hoped since moving from Marseille in 2016.
If the former France under-21 international gets another run out, he has to take it.
With such a busy schedule coming up and considering West Ham are weakened with injuries, perhaps N’Koudou should be given one last chance to save his Spurs career.
Pochettino knows that N’Koudou will be eager to impress and this could work to his advantage.
If he can navigate Spurs through to the next round of the EFL Cup and rest some key players, then that would be ideal.
So, N’Koudou should be given one final chance to show he is good enough to be a Spurs player.
