Should Leeds consider Eddie Nketiah and Patrick Bamford together?

Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa now has the nice dilemma of who is going to spearhead his attack and be the frontline striker in the Championship.

Patrick Bamford has filled the role in the opening two league games and scored in the win over Bristol City, but was guilty of being a little sloppy in the Nottingham Forest draw in front of goal.

The 25-year-old is someone that is a little inconsistent with his finishing, but over the course of a league season should weigh in with a fair contribution.

But loanee Eddie Nketiah has now become another contender to start in attack for the Whites and he netted a debut goal against Salford City in the Carabao Cup victory.

The 20-year-old has joined on a season-long loan from Arsenal and is a clinical finisher that comes alive in the penalty area.

It looks like it will be a straight shootout for the centre-forward role and they could perhaps rotate during games throughout the campaign.

But could Bielsa consider a new combination between the attacking pair?

Leeds have preferred one central figure in attack, which allows their wingers and creative players to work around them with pace and movement.

But the Yorkshire giants could potentially be even more potent in attack if they have manage to squeeze two strikers into their XI.

Nketiah looks like someone that could score at a prolific rate at Elland Road if he gets the service, but is perhaps still a little lightweight and having a strike partner could bring the best out his game.

Meanwhile, Bamford is someone proven at Championship level and there may an interest forward partnership for Bielsa to look at.
