Should Celtic recall Tom Rogic against Red Bull Salzburg?

Celtic playmaker Tom Rogic has been absent from the starting XI in the last three consecutive matches, but there is an argument to suggest he should be promoted for the upcoming fixture.

The 25-year-old attacking midfielder was an unused substitute in a league defeat to Kilmarnock, while he played cameo roles off the bench against St Johnstone and Aberdeen.

Brendan Rodgers’ team now turn their attention to an away clash on Thursday against Red Bull Salzburg in the Europa League group stages.

The Scottish giants commenced their group with a 1-0 win over Rosenborg, but are now set for another step up in class against the Austrian outfit.

Celtic haven’t quite been at their sparkling best so far this campaign and recalling Rogic could be the spark needed to lift the team for a European night.

Rogic is a left-footed ace that has not quite picked up top speed this campaign, but still chipped in with two goals from his 12 appearances

The Australia international has shown in the past that he can be a mainstay in the Bhoys starting XI and be a real asset if he hits his peak once again.

He is currently stuck behind Callum McGregor in the pecking order for the number 10 position, but it could be time for a rotation.
