Celtic have not quite been at their sparkling best in the opening months of the season and it’s their defence that has stood firm in a lot of matches to grind out victories.
The Bhoys are just missing their A-game in the final third, albeit they picked up a crushing 6-0 victory over St Johnstone before the international break.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have scored just 13 goals in their opening eight league games and are missing star quality going forward this campaign.
They could look to improve the squad in January, but there are also some interesting free agents in the market that could be worth casting their eye over.
According to the Daily Mail, Everton are considering a move for attacking midfielder Samir Nasri, as he’s available to train again in November when a drugs ban expires.
With the 31-year-old keen on a return to football, should Celtic pursue a shock move to try land the Frenchman?
Nasri is a two-time Premier League winner from his time with Manchester City and also had a spell where he rose to fame at Arsenal.
He was most recently playing for Turkish club Antalyaspor last season, but whether he could make an impact at Parkhead now is another matter.
The fleet-footed attacker is clearly not going to be anywhere near the player he once was and would be a massive gamble for Rodgers, but there is no doubting he’s a technically gifted ace and may be worth the risk on a free transfer if the club sanction it.
