Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has posted to Twitter following his senior debut for England over the weekend.
The 28-year-old forward started for Andorra on Sunday as Bamford finally made his debut for England. The Leeds star has been one of the best attackers in the Premier League over the past 12 months.
Under Marcelo Bielsa, the former Middlesbrough striker has flourished into a reliable striker in the English top-flight. Bamford was Leeds’ top scorer last season, and the forward has been rewarded for his form with a call-up for England.

Indeed, Bamford was the second Leeds player to feature for England over the weekend. Kalvin Phillips has firmly asserted himself as one of Gareth Southgate’s most trusted players in the midfield.
And Bamford sounded delighted to now be part of the England squad. The 2018 £10m signing from Boro posted: “Can’t think of a better way to spend my birthday. A dream come true to make my debut for England.”
Whilst Bamford didn’t score, the attacker showed enough that there will likely be more international caps to come in the future.

And on social media, Leeds fans were buzzing that Bamford had finally made a senior appearance for the Three Lions after months of top form for the Yorkshire side.
Here’s what some Leeds fans had to say on Twitter about Bamford’s post…
