Destiny Udogie has been brilliant for Tottenham so far this season, but on Monday, he really let himself down.
The Italian got away with what, in all honesty, should’ve been a straight red card early in the game against Chelsea only to later pick up a second yellow in the London derby leaving his team with nine men on the pitch.
As you can imagine, Tottenham fans were far from impressed by Udogie’s lack of discipline, and speaking on TalkSPORT’s live watchalong of the game, Jamie O’Hara was critical of the young full-back.
Indeed, O’Hara didn’t hold back in his criticism, claiming that both Udogie and Romero should be ashamed of themselves after their red cards against Chelsea, while also lambasting Ange Postecoglou’s tactics towards the end of the game.

Udogie should be ashamed
O’Hara gave his verdict on the £15m defender after he was sent off.
“Udogie should be ashamed of himself, Romero should be ashamed of himself. Ange, I love you but you’ve got it wrong tonight mate. Playing a high line with nine men, criminal defending,” O’Hara said.
Live and learn
This won’t go down as the finest moment in Udogie’s career, but these things happen.
Yes, it’s frustrating and we can see how the emotions got the better of O’Hara during this game, but Udogie has been fantastic for Tottenham all season long and we shouldn’t lose sight of that.
He was very naïve to play like this against Chelsea in such a big game, and you could tell from early on that his head wasn’t in the right place, but that’s been and gone now, chalk it down as a learning experience and move on.
Udogie will learn from this, and he has to make sure that the next time a big game rolls around, he’s in the right headspace.
