Reported Arsenal target Emiliano Buendia was suspended for Norwich’s defeat last night, and a number of fans spoke of just how much they missed him on the pitch.
Football.london reported in December that the Canaries star was on Arsenal’s transfer shortlist and that manager Mikel Arteta is a big admirer of the player.
Speculation linking Arsenal and Buendia was high at the beginning of the January window, but subsequent reports poured cold water on any hopes of a move.

In the end, it wasn’t surprising to see the £40million-rated Argentine stay put at Carrow Road, but speculation is likely to emerge again heading towards the summer window.
According to a Goal.com report from mid-January, Buendia is happy to wait until the summer before deciding his future.
While Arsenal’s No. 10 problems have subsided with Emile Smith Rowe’s breakthrough and Martin Odegaard’s arrival, the latter is currently just on loan at the Emirates.
Buendia has made 22 Championship appearances for Norwich this season, registering seven goals and seven assists.
However, he was suspended for last night’s trip to Swansea following his sending off against Middlesbrough last week.
The high-flying Canaries struggled without their playmaker and fell to a 2-0 defeat, prompting numerous fans on social media to bemoan just how reliant they are on him.
