‘Shocking footballer’: Liverpool fans tear into Adam Lallana after Cardiff win

Adam Lallana played 61 minutes in the win over Cardiff City on Saturday – and some of the Liverpool fans on Twitter destroyed him for his performance.

The 30-year-old started for the Reds in the Premier League and is beginning to recapture his fitness following an injury layout.

Jurgen Klopp’’s side moved to the top of the league table with their 4-1 victory against Cardiff at Anfield, as a flurry of late goals saw them over the line.

Mohamed Salah opened the scoring for the Merseyside club in the first-half and teammate Sadio Mane added a second in the 66th minute.

Cardiff were given a lifeline when Callum Paterson scored a surprise goal for the visitors, but Liverpool turned on the style late on with goals from Xherdan Sharqiri and another from Sadio Mane to secure three points.

A selection of fans were not pleased on social media with Lallana despite the win and feel he offered very little attacking threat.

The English playmaker is still working his way up to full speed and does have his work cut out if he wants to become a regular in the Reds midfield.
