Liverpool have reportedly joined Aston Villa, Arsenal and Tottenham in the race to sign Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge this summer – and Blades fans have responded on Twitter to the reports, seemingly open to his exit in the coming months.

Berge, 23, has been sidelined for much of the 2020-21 campaign after being forced to go under the knife to correct a hamstring problem. But that has not deterred interested parties in his services, given Berge took to life in Sheffield well initially.

He was an important part of the side that finished in the top half of the table, after his £22million move to the Premier League back in January 2020. He managed 13 Premier League outings this term, but has been injured while the Blades struggle.

Eurosport state that Liverpool are interested in the 24-time Norway international, joining Aston Villa in the race to sign the colossal midfielder. It comes after a report from Jeunes Footeux earlier this month stated Spurs and Arsenal are keen.

Blades fans have reacted to the reports on Twitter that Berge is interesting Liverpool among others, and many are of the opinion that with Sheffield United set to be relegated – Berge is on his way, though they are keen to see their side bring in a good fee.
