Sheffield United fans rave about John Egan after Everton match

Sheffield United added another three points on the road with a 2-0 win over Everton. Yerry Mina’s own goal gifted Sheffield United the lead and Lys Mousset sealed the victory at Goodison Park.

Chris Wilder will be particularly proud of the defence, who withstood everything Everton threw at them. The Toffees kept coming but Sheffield United kept the door shut and held on for a clean sheet.

There were stunning individual performances from the defenders, including John Egan. The Republic of Ireland defender was a rock at the back yet again. He has stepped up and adapted to the Premier League with ease.

Egan’s presence at the centre of the back three prevented Everton from getting on the scoresheet. According to WhoScored, Egan made two tackles, three interceptions, one block and a stunning 11 clearances.
