Manchester United and Luton Town played out an entertaining encounter at Kenilworth Road today.
The Red Devils raced into an early lead through a Rasmus Hojlund double before Luton fought their way back into the game as Carlton Morris got one back.
In the end, United could have been well out of sight before the game finished but Luton hung in their and with United missing a few big chances, things remained tight until the end.
One of the big moments for United came when Alejandro Garnacho went scampering through on goal in the 67th minute. With just the keeper to beat, Garnacho dithered a bit and eventually saw his effort blocked.
And watching on for Sky Sports, Gary Neville commented on Garnacho’s hesitancy costing him the goal.
“Garnacho is shattered with disappointment. He can’t believe has squandered the opportunity. The more time you take on opportunities like that, the more chance you give to the defenders,” Neville said.

Garnacho is getting better and better despite big miss
This Manchester United team is definitely improving under Erik ten Hag in recent weeks and the performances of Alejandro Garnacho are a big reason for that uptick.
The young winger has been excellent and looks a constant threat for United, who are also benefitting from Rasmus Hojlund finding some form.
Yes, Garnacho dithered a bit on the ball here as Neville says. But in the main, he is proving to be one of the main men for Ten Hag’s side right now and United fans are loving it.
The youngster is still very much at the early stage of his football career and with a bit of luck and no major injuries, he genuinely looks like he can go on to become one of the world’s best.
We’ve seen so many exciting young players in attacking positions in the Premier League in recent years.
Garnacho, it seems, is very much the new kid on the block and could be in for a superb career at Old Trafford.
