Standing at 6ft 5” tall, Dost’s physical stature makes him a prime candidate for the supposedly more physically demanding Premier League.

Ronald Koeman’s Dutch compatriot has never been goal shy, consistently finding the net wherever he’s played. He has scored 28 goals in just 27 games for Sporting Lisbon this season, having previously scored 48 goals and 52 goals for Wolfsburg and Heerenveen, respectively.

Dost may not be the most fashionable or flashy player, but his goal scoring record is unquestionable.

Strong in the air, he is capable of dominating defenders and could be the focal point of the attack for many teams across Europe.

Now 27 years old, Dost has gained plenty of Champions League and Europa League experience as well as being a Dutch international.

He has the necessary experience and know-how Everton would be looking for, and coming over from Portugal may not command a huge transfer fee.
