Fiorentina are in pole position to sign Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Atletico Madrid, Milan and Torino are also thought to be interested in the Uruguayan. Fiorentina, however, appear to be at the front of the queue.
Torreira signed for the Gunners two years ago from Sampdoria, parting with £26 million for the central midfielder (Sky Sports).

The latest report claims that Arsenal are keen to recoup what they paid for the 24-year-old, despite him not being considered a first-team regular.
Torreira started 17 games in the Premier League last season but was used as a substitute more often than not.
Boss Mikel Arteta will want to reshape his squad during the summer and in order to add some players, he might need to offload a few first.
Torreira hasn’t really had the desired impact on the Premier League; with the 23-year-old struggling for consistency and regular game time.
At Sampdoria, he thrived and a return to Serie A could prove ideal for the player who has lost his way somewhat in the Premier League.
The report claims that Torreira is wanting first-team football next season and fears he might not get that under Arteta at Arsenal.
TBR View – Arsenal offloading Torreira makes perfect sense
The Uruguayan earns £75,000-a-week at the Emirates Stadium and keeping him doesn’t seem to make a great deal of sense.

He hasn’t really impressed Arteta sufficiently and it seems clear that he will want three or four of his own signings to come in and play.
With that in mind, Torreira would be wise to look at a move and a return to Serie A would suit the player’s style.
Arsenal have been a club prone to carrying passengers in the past and that mentality needs to change under Arteta.
