Sergio Reguilon lauds Pablo Fornals after Spain win
Sergio Reguilon was amongst the players to laud Pablo Fornals on Instagram after the West Ham player scored as Spain beat Kosovo on Wednesday.
Fornals was recalled to Luis Enrique’s squad for the first time in three years after an outstanding run of form for the Hammers.
And he made the most of the opportunity. He provided an assist in the win over Georgia at the weekend.
And he has now followed that up with his first Spain goal. He broke the deadlock during the 2-0 win over Kosovo.
The 25-year-old is arguably playing the best football of his career to date. He has already scored twice in the Premier League for David Moyes’s men.
So it is not a surprise that a number of his countrymen have lauded the former Villarreal man on social media following the win – including one club rival.
Fornals took to Instagram to express his delight at the win, with the message translating as: ‘What a night’.
Reguilon lauded Fornals as a big star, while Carlos Soler had a similar message for the magician.
Meanwhile, there was also a classy message from Irons teammate Darren Randolph…
West Ham to benefit as Fornals shines on Spain return
Fornals has staked an incredibly strong claim to remain in Enrique’s plans over the coming months.
Of course, that is particularly important with a World Cup ahead next year.
And West Ham should benefit. He knows what he needs to do to keep his place – and that is shine for Moyes’s men.
He is off to an amazing start to the season. And with West Ham playing with so much confidence right now, there is little reason why he cannot continue to be a star for club and country.
